Events Co-ordinator – Melbourne City

Neuma Church is seeking an Events Co-ordinator to play a key role in planning, coordinating, and delivering exceptional church services and events. This role supports the Services Pastor and works closely with ministry leaders and volunteers to ensure every gathering is safe, well-organised, and aligned with Neuma’s vision and values.
About the Role
The Events Co-ordinator provides operational leadership across:
- Sunday services and major church events
- Hospitality environments and guest experience
- Facilities setup, people flow, and service readiness.
You’ll be a hands-on leader on service days, coordinating logistics, supporting volunteers, solving problems in real time, and helping create spaces where people feel welcomed, valued, and free to encounter God.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Sunday services and key church events (including Easter, Christmas, baptisms, dedications, and celebrations)
- Oversee non-auditorium environments such as foyers, hospitality spaces, parent/prayer rooms, and people-flow areas.
- Lead event logistics including run sheets, timelines, setup and pack-down
- Oversee hospitality operations (coffee, catering, refreshments).
- Support volunteer teams through clear communication, encouragement, and leadership.
- Ensure facilities are safe, functional, and service-ready.
- Respond calmly to incidents and operational challenges as they arise.
- Maintain strong communication with the Services Pastor and ministry leaders.

Additional Details
- This role may require work outside standard office hours, particularly weekends and key events.
- Working With Children Check are required.
