Who We Are
Established in 1925, Neuma Church has a heritage of planting churches, saving souls, engaging in global mission, equipping believers for ministry and moving in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Neuma Church Hobart was planted in 2022 with a heart to transform the city of Hobart by releasing the Kingdom of God in every sphere of life. What started as a home gathering is now a community of disciples, passionate about knowing God, walking faithfully with Him and influencing the world for His glory.

What we do
Prayer
Prayer is more than something we do – it’s a core part of who we are and what we’re aiming for in Hobart. We gather corporately to pray and contend for God’s Kingdom to advance: for salvation, healing, freedom, unity across the churches, and spiritual life in our city.
You’ll also see prayer expressed beyond a Sunday setting: prayer walks through our city, shared ownership of prayer needs within our community and a growing commitment to freedom and deliverance ministry for those seeking breakthrough. Everything is anchored in Jesus – His love, His authority – so prayer is never performance; it’s partnership with God for people and for Hobart.
Life Groups
Life Groups are where faith becomes family. Like the believers in Acts 2:42–47, we gather to open God’s Word, share meals, pray together, and care for one another. In these Christ-centered communities, lives are transformed, hearts are united, and joy overflows as we grow together in purpose, generosity, and love.
If you’re new (or returning to church), Life Groups are the easiest way to find real connection. There’s no pressure to have it all figured out – just a genuine welcome, good conversation, and a chance to take simple next steps in following Jesus with others.
Shared Life & Mission
We believe church life is formed in shared rhythms, not just services and programs. Through the year there’s lots of space to explore faith and grow – partnering with other churches, fasting together and offering courses like Alpha and the Marriage Course to strengthen relationships and build healthy foundations.
We also make room for the practical and the fun: working bees, church camps, and gatherings that deepen connection and build a strong sense of family. It’s a culture of showing up for each other, serving with joy, and growing together as we follow Jesus.
