We’re looking for a passionate, Spirit-filled and visionary Youth & Young Adults Pastor to join the team at Neuma Church – Melbourne East.
This is a key leadership role that will shape the next generation of disciples—raising up young people who know God intimately, walk in their Kingdom identity, and boldly carry His presence into their schools, universities, workplaces and the world.
You’ll work closely with our Location Pastors and leadership team to build thriving communities of youth and young adults where discipleship, worship, and encounter are at the heart. This role calls for a leader who can both pastor and pioneer—someone who loves people deeply, leads with authenticity, and carries a contagious passion for revival in the next generation.
Key Responsibilities
Discipleship & Pastoral Leadership
• Build and lead a dynamic culture of discipleship where young people are grounded in the Word, filled with the Spirit, and growing in godly character.
• Provide pastoral care, mentoring and guidance for students and young adults.
• Raise, equip and release emerging leaders who carry the DNA and culture of Neuma Church.
Youth & Young Adults Ministry
• Oversee all aspects of Neuma East’s Youth and Young Adults ministries – weekly gatherings, Life Groups, leadership development and special events.
• Partner with parents and leaders to create environments that foster spiritual growth, belonging, and empowerment.
Team Building & Volunteer Empowerment
• Recruit, train and disciple volunteer leaders to effectively serve and lead across all youth and young adult environments.
• Build team unity and ownership through consistent communication, celebration, and shared vision.
• Ensure safe, healthy ministry practices aligned with Neuma’s Safer Churches Policy.
Collaboration & Church Life
• Work closely with Location Pastors, Worship, Production, and other ministry teams to ensure alignment and shared mission.
• Participate in key Neuma East services, events, and gatherings as an integral member of the team.
• Contribute to the wider Neuma vision to host God’s presence and advance His Kingdom across our city.

• Willingness to work Sundays and adapt to the rhythms of church and next-gen ministry.
Requirements
• Previous experience in youth or young adult ministry leadership (church context
preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to disciple and lead teams.
• Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Commitment to ongoing development and alignment with Neuma’s vision, culture, and Safer Churches Policy.
