Neuma Church Melbourne City is seeking a Discipleship Pastor to lead and shape the spiritual formation of people across our church community.
This is an exciting opportunity for a gifted pastor and leader to oversee discipleship pathways from salvation through to spiritual maturity, ensuring people are welcomed, connected, discipled, and empowered to follow Jesus.
About the Role
As Discipleship Pastor, you will:
- Lead discipleship pathways including Alpha, Foundations and spiritual formation initiatives.
- Oversee the assimilation and pastoral care of new people and new believers.
- Develop discipleship content, courses, and resources that help people grow in biblical understanding and identity in Christ.
- Recruit, equip, and develop volunteer leaders and facilitators.
- Create healthy systems that connect people into baptism, Life Groups, serving teams, and church community.
- Contribute to the broader pastoral leadership of the church through pastoral care, ministry development, and leadership training.
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Has a genuine passion for discipleship, spiritual formation, and leadership development.
- Demonstrates strong biblical teaching and pastoral leadership capabilities.
- Has experience leading volunteers, developing teams, and building ministry environments.
- Is highly organised with strong communication and administrative skills.
- Thrives in a collaborative team environment and carries a heart for the local church.
- Has formal ministry and theological training.
